Hollyhock Rabbit Stud
I am happily married to my husband Daffydd who is a Cabinet Maker by trade. We are currently expecting our first child!, We have 1 Dog, Bull Terrier x Staffy - Madison, 1 Whitebait, Greek Spur Thighed Tortoise - Victor, handreared Indian Ring Neck Parrot - Charles, 2 English Budgies and of course The Rabbits! :) Our house wouldnt be a "HOME" without the animals.. we love them dearly.
My rabbits are housed outside, in tiered hutches, they are bedded down on untreated wood shavings, which keeps them very clean for showing. They are fed pellets on a daily basis, aswell as a handful of hay. They have access to water at all times, and from time to time have their little treats, that being the odd bit of cauliflower and brocolli and carrots. They are truely spoilt rotten! lol :) |

How My Rabbit Bug Started....
My family had rabbits as pets since I was knee high to a grass hopper... We had our first Rabbit when I was about 2 years old, a Giant Chinchilla called McBuck.. and also had a couple of Wild Rabbits and a NZ White called Muffin. When I eventually got my own place I was then able to get a Rabbit again, and I got my first Mini Lop. From then on I have kept Rabbits, and was captivated by other breeds, those being the Dutch and Rex. My husband also has a passion for the Flemish Giant. Unfortunately we dont have room at our new home for as many Flemish as we used to have. I joined The Rabbit Council of New Zealand a while back now and was introduced to the World of Showing Rabbits, and havent looked back ever since! I really love my rabbits and get so much joy out of Showing them and meeting up with other fellow Rabbit people and over a long period of time I have learnt so much! :)
Great Place to take a Visit!
I belong to two Rabbit Lists on the Internet called KiwiRabbit and NZRexRabbit.. They are both very informative groups with many members who are actively involved in raising Rabbits and Showing them... They are both great places to join, to learn about the general care of Rabbits!
